The Testimony Template
Your testimony of how God has changed your life, is a powerful witness to people who have not yet given their lives to Jesus. Remember that these words are about how God has worked in your life, not a mini biography.
Try to use plain non-Christian jargon terms. Once you have written you Testimony, practice speaking it aloud, to make it more concise and familiar.
Introduction
My name is Mark
I was saved at age 32
I have been a Christian for 32 years.
Before Christ
15 sec. Try to emphasize your sinful nature before Christ (which they can relate to). This may include a brief summary of your life before Christ.
Example
My name is Mark. I was born in Australia. I came from a non-Christian background. After school I joined the Army and later the NSW Police. I had full-time work in a demanding career but felt that there must be more to life. I felt alone and isolated, I felt like I had no purpose. My life to this point had taught me that you only had value if you were performing to the standard of your boss and as soon as you could not perform you would be discarded.
Turning Point
Briefly describe the How you discovered Gods love for you, the meaning of Christs death and resurrection and your decision to make Jesus your Lord and Saviour.
Example
While working in the Police I became friends with a Policeman who was a Christian, who often told interesting stories of events in his Christian life. He was also an example of an honest person and would answer questions about God if I asked. After a few years of knowing Simon, he explained that he was giving his first sermon as a trainee minister this Sunday and invited me to come. I said yes because of our friendship and a little curiosity, as I had never been to a Church service. It was the personal invitation of a Christian fiend that got me to a Church where I could hear the Gospel for the first time.
Simon made sure to remind me of the appointment, met me at the front of the church on the day, showed me where to sit and introduced me to another person while he got ready.
During the service, Simon read from the Bible and described how Jesus died for me, even while I was still his enemy. This was a deeply personal message to me as in the Army I had previously considered under what circumstances I might sacrifice myself for my fellow servicemen but had never remotely thought of or heard of anyone sacrificing their lives for an enemy. I was deeply affected by this and gave my life to Christ at the end of the service.
The Church gave me a Bible and arranged instructional classes prior to the next Sunday service on how to read the four Gospels and answered my questions. I gradually realized from my Police background that these were four different accounts with details and statements that showed they were real eyewitness statements.
After Decision Contrast

Example
Prior to my decision I felt isolated and without hope. The Christian story of an everlasting life with Jesus, where all the sadness, errors and injustices would be corrected, gave me hope. The Christian Mission to share this hope with others gave me purpose and the Church Community removed my isolation. Gradually I applied the teachings in the Bible to my life, which slowly removed my anger.

Our first child was born blue and would not breath. As the local hospital staff worked on her, they asked the reception to call the local emergency team. The receptionist misheard this and called the state emergency team. That specialist Team and Doctor was at that moment landing via helicopter at the hospital for another emergency, attended and revived my daughter, who today is serving the Lord.
From this incident I learnt that God still performs Miracles today and He can make good from a bad event.
God saved my daughters life.

While working as a computer technician for a Christian Charity, God revealed the exact steps a to start a service to recycle unwanted computers and provide them to Families and students in need. He then provide the resources for that to take place including the computers, software licenses and the approval by the Charity CEO to establish the service.
From this incident I learnt that God can provide a revelation of ideas totally from Him that is more powerful than anything you could think of yourself. Also if it is part of God’s vision he will provide Provision.
God gave me an individual purpose in life. A life of service helping others.

While working at a new start up Charity and needing a donation of 6 computers to train some unemployed locals, God provide resources worth millions of dollars that would help thousands of people worldwide. Over the next seven years, He provided the Office, Factory and building to allow this to happen, worth over $80 million dollars that is now a local church and Christian school
From this incident I learnt that God still performs Miracles today and His provision and Vision is far greater than anything I can imaging or achieve without him.
God allowed me to be part of His Miracle

After being unemployed or underemployed for a number of years, while constantly applying for and not getting multiple jobs, God arranged for me to get my Dream Job working with a Team to build a Vocational training organisation. This role used all of the skills that I had learnt in the previous 20 years, working with a Team of Christians, continue to grow in service to Him and help and serve hundreds of people.
From this incident I learnt that God has a personal plan for you, every step of life is an opportunity to learn skills that will be used in you Dream Job and at the exact right moment he will open the door for you.
There will be hard times in this Broken World. I learnt that God will never leave you and to keep turning towards Him during hard times. Knowing that He is the Lord of your life as well as Saviour, gives you the hope and strength to continue.
